Dallas Food Providers
What are you actually eating? Does the staff have any idea where the food comes from?
In a candle shop, floral dealer or fabric store the employees know what the products are made of + where they come from. Why do food employees have NO IDEA what they are offering? In Dallas, even most finer dining restaurants are serving FACTORY FARM animal products + shipped-in, pesticide-sprayed produce. Food should travel the shortest distance possible to retain nutrients + flavor. And not be filled with chemicals (duh).
There are lots of smaller, natural farms all over the USA. It's not too much to ask.
Below is a list of local Dallas-area restaurants + grocers and an extensive local Texas farms list.
(So often, I hear from restaurant owners - I don't know where to find the BETTER farms! Well, here ya go... :D)
Lists In Progress...
If you are being sold ingestible product, it's in your best interest to know what you are putting in your body.
This is just the beginnings of the lists as we explore, research and learn. Please contact us for additions, corrections, if you have reason to question a listing, etc.
If you are an establishment who sources BETTER, don't hide it! List it on your site and menus. Add specific info about where you source so others may easily find them.
And let us know about it here at Real Fine Food so we can brag about you.
